If Canada also rejects visa for Parvathy Ammal then she will return to Sri Lanka - Sivajilingam
Velupillai Prabhakaran's 80-year-old widowed mother Parvathi Pillai is to return to Sri Lanka from Malaysia next month, Tamil National Liberation Alliance (TNLA) general secretary M.K. Sivajilingam said yesterday.
He said he would fly to Malaysia on May 10 or 12 and accompany her back since it was unlikely that Canada would issue a visa for Ms. Pillai to live with her daughter. "The ailing Ms. Pillai is now in Malaysia living with family friends awaiting a visa to enter Canada. It is unlikely that she will get it. She was denied entry to India when she arrived at the Chennai airport recently. She was hoping to live with her other daughter there. However, Indian immigration authorities sent her back to Malaysia. In case she is refused a visa to Canada, I will bring her back to Sri Lanka," Mr. Sivajilingam said.
